There is strength in numbers. By representing the majority of licensed veterinary technicians within the State of Michigan, the Michigan Association of Veterinary Technicians (MAVT) gives every technician a voice. Legislative decisions and changes affecting the regulation and practice acts for Michigan veterinary professionals can only be lobbied for by state professional organizations such as the MAVT and the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA). There’s never been a better time to become a member. As a veterinary technician, your voice counts!
Licensed Veterinary Technician: $30/year
Membership is open to all veterinary technicians licensed in the State of Michigan. Licensed members are able to serve as officers and are allowed full voting privileges.
Student Membership: $10/year
Student membership is open to students who are currently enrolled in a veterinary technology training program. Student members are not eligible to serve as officers nor are they allowed to vote in association matters, but student members may serve on committees at the discretion of the executive board. Upon graduation and licensure by the State of Michigan, student members may upgrade their membership to active status by submitting an application and a filing fee.
Non-Licensed Veterinary Professional Membership: $35/year
Non-licensed veterinary professional membership status is available to persons not eligible for the licensed technician or student memberships, but who are still interested in supporting the association and promoting the veterinary profession. Non-licensed veterinary professional members are not eligible to serve as officers or allowed to vote in association matters. They may serve on committees at the discretion of the executive board.
